ÍTÍS would like to sincerely thank everyone for the fantastic turnout at the Aperitivo Letterario last Tuesday.

The event was fully booked and the atmosphere was wonderful! Silvia and Roberto had an engaging discussion about translating Icelandic literature into Italian and talked about the importance of introducing our culture to other countries through literature.

They agreed that there are great opportunities in Italy to translate more Icelandic books, which could boost interest and promote bilateral trade between the two countries.

After the discussion, guests had the chance to raise a glass, courtesy of the travel and wedding services company Pink Iceland, which imports excellent wines specially sourced from a small vineyard in Italy.

Cibo Amore also provided delicious bites for the evening. They specialise in Italian sandwiches, which have been a big hit. Cibo Amore has locations in both Hamraborg and Katrínartún.
