Members of the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce and the British-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce were invited to visit Costco Wholesale in Iceland on March 5th. Representatives from Costco in the UK, including purchasing managers, were there together with the management in Iceland and presented the services offered by Costco. Sólrún Hafþórsdóttir, Marketing Director of Costco in Iceland, welcomed the guests and spoke, among other things, about the services offered to companies at Costco, as well as the opportunities that lie in selling products with them. The purchasing managers of Costco in the UK then talked about purchasing for the Icelandic warehouse and mentioned, among other things, that they had been surprised by how much Icelanders were into popcorn and chocolate! Finally, guests were invited to ask questions and enjoy light refreshments.

The British-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Costco for the warm welcome.
