Iceland Showcases Real Estate Opportunities at MIPIM Conference in Cannes

From 11th to 14th March, the prestigious MIPIM conference took place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. MIPIM is one of the largest and most influential gatherings in the global real estate sector.

The board of the France-Iceland Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Business Iceland, attended the event, where Iceland’s real estate opportunities were met with great interest. Attendees received insights into the country’s investment potential in the sector. During the conference, a framework agreement for cooperation was formally signed between Sophia Antipolis and the Science Park at the University of Iceland.

Business Iceland hosted an impressive exhibition stand at the conference, where numerous Icelandic companies presented their projects and expertise. The organisation also introduced its initiatives, objectives, and strategic vision. The event’s opening address was delivered by Mario Draghi.

Iceland’s Ambassador to France, Unnur Orradóttir Ramette, was also in attendance and participated in an interview with the real estate publication Immoweek.

As part of the conference engagements, the Icelandic delegation was invited to visit the Sophia Antipolis Science Park in Nice. The visit offered a valuable insight into the park’s activities and future prospects, complemented by a special presentation from the management of Nice Airport and an exclusive visit to VEV. VEV is an innovative company that has rapidly established itself as a leader in the development and operation of electric vehicle charging stations.
