A business delegation to the French Riviera and Monaco in June

 

 

On the 4th and  5th of  June The French-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce is organizing an exciting visit to Sophia Antipolis on the French Riviera and to Monte Carlo in Monaco.

Sophia Antipolis is a leading technology and science park founded more than 50 years ago, the first of its kind in Europe. There is a lot of growth in Sophia Antipolis, which is a vortex of innovation and ideas. There are about 2,500 companies, with over 40,000 employees, 4,500 researchers and 5,500 students from 80 nationalities. About 1,000 jobs are created annually in Sophia Antipolis.

June 4th, Sophia Antipolis will be visited and that visit will  include visits to companies such as: Amadeus and Accenture Labs and also the cooperation platform EURECOM & EDHEC in digital development will be introduced to delegation guests.

June 5th the delegation goes to Monte Carlo, Monaco. There, the Monaco Economic Board welcomes the delegation and presents companies operating out of Monaco as well as the conditions for doing business in this small country. Furthermore the delegation will examine the new area of ​​MARETERRA, which is being built on a landfill out into the Mediterranean Sea. Finally, there will be a presentation of the activities and environmental projects of the Prince Albert II Foundation. It is worth noting that photographer Ragnar Axelsson has twice been a judge in the annual photography competition on environmental issues that the organization represents.

The participation fee is €750 per person (approx. ISK 112,000) The price includes lunch  both days, dinner on June 4th and a wine presentation in the renowned wine cellar of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo on June 5th. Transfers according to the schedule are also included.

Participants book their own flight according to their convenience, but the organized program of FRÍS will be on June 4 and 5. Suitable travel days are therefore June 3 and 6, unless participants choose to extend their stay on the French Riviera.

Hotel rooms have been reserved in three hotels that can be booked directly with Eric Biard, board member of FRÍS and owner of Island Tours. Eric will send links to the hotels to those who want them when the registration and payment is complete.

Number of participants is limited, but we ask people not to book flights or hotels until after April 19th, as a minimum number of participants must be reached in order for the trip to take place. After April 19th, registration is binding.
