
Dana 15. maja 2026. godine, Srpsko-islandska privredna komora je bila domaćin sastanka sa NJ.E. ambasadorkom Jasminom Mitrović-Marić, PhD, novoimenovanom ambasadorkom Srbije na Islandu, tokom njene prve zvanične posete zemlji. Pratila ju je savetnik Isidora Đorđević iz Ambasade Republike Srbije u Oslu.
Tokom sastanka, ambasadorka Mitrović-Marić uručila je zvanično pismo Privredne komore Srbije, potpisano od strane predsednika Marka Čadeža, kojim se predlaže Memorandum o saradnji između srpske i islandske privredne komore. U pismu su identifikovane oblasti od zajedničkog interesa, uključujući energetiku, obnovljive izvore energije, inovacije, informacione tehnologije, prehrambenu industriju i podršku malim i srednjim preduzećima.
Sastanku su prisustvovali i predstavnici Íslandsstofa (Promote Iceland): Sigríður Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, direktorka za izvoz i investicije, i Þorleifur Þór Jónsson, poslovni direktor za turizam (Nordijski i udaljeni tržišta), kao i Kristín S. Hjálmtýsdóttir i Bojan Desnica.
Srpsko-islandska privredna komora će sada nastaviti razgovore sa Privrednom komorom Srbije o okviru za Memorandum o saradnji, sa ciljem organizovanja zajedničkih poslovnih događaja i olakšavanja partnerstva između kompanija u obe zemlje
Serbian Chamber of Commerce Proposes Memorandum of Cooperation with Iceland
On 15 May 2026, the Serbian-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce hosted a meeting with H.E. Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović-Marić, PhD, Serbia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Iceland, during her first official visit to the country. She was accompanied by Counsellor Isidora Djordjević from the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Oslo.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mitrović-Marić presented a formal letter from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, signed by its President Marko Čadež, proposing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Serbian and Icelandic Chambers of Commerce. The letter identifies areas of mutual interest including energy, renewable resources, innovation, information technology, food industry, and support for small and medium enterprises.

Also in attendance were representatives from Íslandsstofa (Promote Iceland): Sigríður Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, Director of Exports and Investment, and Þorleifur Þór Jónsson, Business Manager for Tourism (Nordic and Remote Markets), as well as Kristín S. Hjálmtýsdóttir and Bojan Desnica.
The Serbian-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce will now engage with the Serbian Chamber to advance discussions on the MoU framework, with the aim of organizing joint business events and facilitating partnerships between companies in both countries.
