The collaboration between the Bilateral Chambers of Commerce and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Business Iceland constitutes a crucial aspect of the chamber's engagements. On January 23rd, the chairpersons of our Bilateral Chambers held a meeting with Bjarni Benediktsson, the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The discussion encompassed the partnership between the ministry and the chambers, along with exploring potential opportunities in Iceland's international trade.

Following this, Business Iceland extended an invitation to all board members of the Bilateral Chambers for a presentation on their primary projects slated for 2024. A subsequent discussion was facilitated to explore potential collaborations throughout the year.

Samstarf Millilandaráðanna við utanríkisráðuneytið og Íslandsstofu er mikilvægur þáttur í starfsemi ráðanna. Þann 23.janúar funduðu formenn Millilandaráðanna með utanríkisráðherra, Bjarna Benediktssyni. Á fundinum var farið yfir samstarf utanríkisráðuneytisins og ráðanna og tækifæri í milliríkjaviðskiptum Íslands.

Í framhaldinu bauð svo Íslandsstofa stjórnarfólki millilandaráðanna á kynningu á starfsemi Íslandsstofu og helstu verkefnum 2024.  Í framhaldi af kynningunni gafst stjórnarfólki og starfsmönnum Íslandsstofu tækifæri til þess að ræða frekar mögulega samsstarfssfleti einstakra ráða og Íslandsstofu á árinu.
