The President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and The First Lady Eliza Reid went on an official visit to Poland from March 3 to 5, along with a delegation that included representatives from ministries, the academic community, members of The Polish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce, Promote Iceland and the Presidential office.
In a varied program, the focus was, among other things, on business. The Presidents of Iceland and Poland also marked the beginning of an effort by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund to increase renewable energy sources in Poland, but Icelanders have for years been involved in geothermal issues in Poland.
